Roads Data Development in Ethiopia

This project will develop digital data collection forms that are compliant with the UNSDI-T v.2 data model for the collection of roads data using GPS-enabled PDA technology. The tool will be employed along all-weather roads in Ethiopia as well as along major dry-season link roads to collect road location and attribute information. Location information will also be collected for the following infrastructure of importance to small holder farmers: irrigation equipment; water reservoirs; markets; community grain storage or fertilizer warehouses; and agricultural extension offices.
