Daniel Nolan has been with iMMAP for three years. Mr. Nolan is the Population Monitoring Initiative (PMI) Project Manager and leads iMMAP’s MENA Research and Analysis (R&A) Unit. With oversight of conflict and political analysts providing quantitative and qualitative analysis on macro, meso, and micro contextual and conflict dynamics, as well as the corresponding humanitarian impact--iMMAP’s R&A Unit provides nuanced research on tribal dynamics, stakeholder mapping and commodity and value chain analysis according to donor, client and partner needs.
Mr. Nolan previously led iMMAP’s Information Management Resource Center supporting Syrian NGO Information Management capacity strengthening in Gaziantep, Turkey. He has been engaged in the Syrian Humanitarian and Stabilization response since 2014.
Mr. Nolan holds a degree in Middle East Studies from Portland State University with his University of London (SOAS) MA in Global Diplomacy expected in 2021. He spent his childhood and secondary school years living in the MENA region.
