Gabriel is the senior data analyst for IMMAP Colombia.
Before joining iMMAP, he worked as an evaluator in the Directorate of Sectorial Analysis and the Directorate of Natural Resources in the Office of the Comptroller of Bogotá. He also worked for the National Registry, the Corporación Nueva Gaceta, and in the National Directorate of Taxes and Customs (Bogotá section) advising the portfolio cleaning process. Moreover, he worked as a political and economic adviser in the Council of Bogotá and the Victims Unit in the following areas: forced displacement, victimization risk index and analysis of criminal groups.
Gabriel has experience in quantitative and qualitative research, planning, and formulation and evaluation of public policies in the following areas: victims of armed conflict, urban policies, statistical methodologies applied to social issues, data mining, Big Data, and machine learning.
He is a statistician and political scientist with a master’s degree in Economics, a candidate in Applied Statistics and a doctoral student in Economics.
