Jonas Herzog is a GIS Coordinator and oversees the GIS Unit at the iMMAP Middle East and North Africa Office.
He studied Geography in Zurich and holds an MSc in Geographic Information Science from the University of Zurich, focusing on mapping hazards of landmine and unexploded ordnance for his master’s thesis.
Jonas entered the humanitarian scene in 2010 and had worked in Libya, Lebanon, Madagascar, Turkey, Kurdistan, Mali, and Afghanistan, specializing in Humanitarian Mine Action and Food Security, in collaboration with various international organizations. Jonas has been living in Amman, Jordan for the last four years. He is a passionate runner and capable of brewing his own beer.
