In 2017, Mauricio was appointed IMMAP France Legal Representative in Colombia. In 2018, he was also appointed, by the Resident Coordination Office -RCO, the technical professional for coordination activities of the Unidad de Manejo y Análisis de Información Colombia -UMAIC with the United Nations System.

Mauricio Rubiano worked as International Consultant for the Cooperation Department of FNV Holland- FNV Mondiaal in Colombia in 2015. He was also an international consultant for the regional office of the International Labor Organization for Andinean Region in 2005, a Project Officer of the USAID Humans Rights Program in Colombia, implemented by MSD in 2008, and an external consultant of the USAID Public Policy Program, implement by AECOM in 2010. In the public sector, Mauricio was appointed Senior Consultant in Public Finances and Human rights Policies at Bogota Council in 2011, and appointed by the Government of Colombia as the National Secretary of Salary and Concertation Commission in 2017. In 2016, Mauricio worked as Analyst Coordinator for UMAIC Colombia in a project funded by COSUDE and implemented by IMMAP Colombia in coordination with IMMAP France.

Mauricio Rubiano Bello obtained a Business Manager BA from the Universidad Nacional Abierta y A Distancia -UNAD of Colombia in 2006, and an MA in International Labor Standards and Globalization from the International Labor Organization Program, in the university of Kassel and Berlin School of Economics and Law. He also coursed studies in regional development in Israel, supported by MASHAV Cooperation Agency of Israel, and Labor Competences studies certified by ILO Training Centre based in Turin, Italy.
