Mustafa is a senior information management officer and the head of office in Baghdad, Iraq. He is responsible for supporting the humanitarian mine action actors and national authorities with information management services through consultations, mapping, data verification and capacity building while preparing SOPs, SWPs and inputs for treaties of Iraq and International communities.
Mustafa has been working with iMMAP since 2014. Prior to his current position, he was a GIS officer seconded to the National Authority of Mine Action in Iraq and an information management officer. Mustafa has eight years of experience in GIS. Prior to joining iMMAP, he was a GIS expert with Danube Demining and Clearance Company for three years and a GIS and Training Department manager at Atlas for GIS and Survey Company for five years in Iraq. He also worked as a site engineer in for MIO Building and Construction Company in Sudan for a year and Abdullah Transportation Company as a follow up manager for a year.
Mustafa holds a Bachelor´s Degree in Material Engineering from the University of Technology in Iraq. He is fluent in English, Arabic and has basic Kurdish.
