Vikas is the iMMAP Country Representative in Afghanistan. In his position, he is responsible for developing and managing stakeholder partnerships, identifying and leading business development opportunities, overseeing project management, and implementing the monitoring and evaluation of these projects.
Vikas has approximately 20 years of progressive experience in the delivery of large-scale humanitarian relief and aid development projects working in complex and security-sensitive environments and in diverse cultural settings. He has worked at multiple (field, national, regional, and HQ) levels in almost 20 countries throughout Africa, Asia, Middle East and Latin America with various organizations, including UNICEF, IFRC, American Red Cross, Oxfam GB, IMC, RedR and ACF in different capacities. He has extensive experience in fundraising, consortium & partnership building, networking and managing external relations, local talent development, program leadership, and cluster coordination skills.
Vikas holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Rural Management and a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from the Jai Narayan Vyas University in India. He is fluent in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
