Yamile is an information management expert based in Colombia. She supports the strengthening of the organizational information system, facilitating the flow of information and response actions to the violations of human rights of Indigenous people in Colombia.
Yamile has over 20 years of experience. Prior to joining iMMAP, she worked with the National Indigenous Organization of Colombia as a project advisor for nearly two years. Prior to that, she was a transfer pricing advisor for over 12 years and a teacher with the Open and Distance University in Colombia for seven years.
Yamile holds a PhD in Economics and Government from the Ortega y Gasset University Research Institute in Spain, and a Master’s of Science in Economics from the National University of Colombia. She also has academic credentials in public policies for equality, in Latin America, and pedagogy for the development of autonomous learning. She is fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
