Global COVID-19 Situational Analysis

The COVID-19 pandemic is causing a detrimental impact across the world, and it is felt most acutely by populations who had already been facing humanitarian crises due to man-made and natural disasters. In addition, strict travel restrictions are imposed worldwide on people’s movements to contain the spread of the virus, impeding humanitarian access to vulnerable communities and limiting the abilities of aid organizations to conduct regular monitoring and assessments.

Funded by USAID, the project implemented in Colombia, Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, DRC, Nigeria and Syria, alongside further global efforts. iMMAP and its main partner Data Friendly Space (DFS) collect and analyze data provided by humanitarian stakeholders and other relevant actors such as academia, private sector and government agencies, and produce regular joint situational analysis reports to facilitate a better understanding of the humanitarian impact of COVID-19 to support response operations.
