Kabul Attack Claims Life of iMMAP Colleague

Kabul, September 5, 2019 - It is with heartfelt sadness that iMMAP confirms that a staff member of our team in Afghanistan lost his life during Monday's attack in Kabul. We wish to express our profound condolences and solidarity with his family and friends.

This senseless attack claimed the lives of 16 people, according to different sources, and injured 100 others, most of them Afghan civilians. We offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of all victims of this attack, who once again suffered violence and loss.

iMMAP is now making immediate efforts to support the deceased colleague ́s family in giving him an appropriate and respectful committal. All other iMMAP Afghanistan colleagues are safe and unharmed.

iMMAP's CEO, Mr. William Barron, conveys his solidarity to the grieving family and reiterates the commitment to continue the work in Afghanistan supporting humanitarian operations that deliver life-saving aid to millions of people in need across the country.
