The Global Surge Team Signs Two New MoUs with UN Women & Mercy Corps

iMMAP is delighted to have recently signed two Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) to support the technical deployment of information management (IM) expertise to UN Women and Mercy Corps.

The 10th MoU for the Standby Partnership Programme (SBP) Agreement that iMMAP has now with UN partners was signed on June 13th, 2022, and this one is specific to UN Women. The purpose of this MoU is to provide a partnership framework to facilitate the collaboration between iMMAP and UN Women regarding the provision of experts on mission to support UN Women’s mandate and role in the Humanitarian Country Team (HCT) and the Inter Cluster Coordination Group (ICCG) at country level, especially in emergency response environments through the SBP Agreement while relying on iMMAP’s surge roster.

The 11th MoU has been signed with Mercy Corps on July 7th, 2022. This new agreement will allow iMMAP to deploy SBP personnel to support Mercy Corps’ capacity to respond in emergency operations where Mercy Corps is co-lead of clusters, such as WASH, Food Security and Livelihoods and in support to Cash Working Groups at the country level. These technical deployments will allow the partnership to enhance the IM workflows at the operational level when and where required.

iMMAP looks forward to growing our partnerships through the global surge team to improve the IM landscape across humanitarian response missions globally while enhancing the quality of data for more effective and targeted response activities.
