iMMAP joins the Global Nutrition Cluster

In mid-February, 2018, iMMAP was officially welcomed as a member of the Global Nutrition Cluster (GNC). The GNC was established in 2006 as part of the Humanitarian Reform process, which aimed to improve the effectiveness of humanitarian response programs by ensuring greater predictability, accountability, and partnership.

iMMAP has been providing support to the nutrition cluster in Afghanistan and Yemen and to the nutrition sector in Nigeria since 2016 through:

- Strengthening Information Management Capacity
- Staff Deployments
- Support for Specialized Tasks
- Regularly Identifying Needs

iMMAP's CEO William Barron attended his first meeting with the GNC in New York March 28-29.
