Usman Lamidi
Information Management Officer
Usman Lamidi is part of iMMAP Inc.’s Humanitarian Information and Analysis Unit, which provides IM solutions to the collective humanitarian response in northeast Nigeria. He supports the team with data management, information analysis, tools design, programming, geographic information system mapping, and visualization functions and trains the capacity-building team.
Before Usman became full-time personnel, he was an IM Intern with iMMAP Inc. for four months and was retained as an Intern Support for another three months. Before that, Usman worked in various organizations, occupying different roles. These include ICT Supervisor at Borno Geographic Information Services (BOGIS) in Maiduguri, Borno state, System Admin at H3abionet Bioinformatics in Ibadan for two years, and provided Application Support at United Capital PLC in Lagos State for a year.
He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan State and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Maiduguri, Borno State, both in Nigeria. Usman is fluent in English, Hausa, Kanuri, Ebira, Yoruba, and Igbo languages.
