Middle East Desk Officer
Hanaa Fahym is the Middle East desk officer based in Marseille, France. She is responsible for supporting project development and program implementation activities in Middle East region while being responsible for capitalizing past and ongoing iMMAP Inc. projects in the Middle East.
Prior to joining iMMAP Inc., Hanaa was an intern at Humanity & Inclusion for six months. Prior to that, she supported the ethics and policy advisor at the Institute on Humanitarian Action.
Hanaa started her academical background with a humanities and social sciences preparatory class at Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS) in Lyon. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Lyon 2 and a Master's Degree in International Relations and Middle Eastern Studies from the Institut d’Etude Politique (IEP) of Grenoble in France. She studied abroad in the University of Saint-Joseph in Beirut for one year and she spent one semester in Bilgi University in Turkey. She is fluent in French, English and Arabic while having intermediate levels of Spanish, Italian and Turkish.
