Third Party Monitoring Project Coordinator
Mariwan is the Third-Party Monitoring project coordinator based in Erbil, Iraq. He is responsible for conducting field visits to the operations sites of implementing partners in order to assess and evaluate on the conventional weapons destruction activities implemented by Humanitarian Mine Action partners in Iraq.
Mariwan has 20 years of experience working with government institutions, UN agencies and NGOs. Prior to joining iMMAP, Mariwan worked with the Iraqi Kurdistan Mine Action Agency as a quality management director for 14 years. Prior to that, he worked with UNOPS as a QA monitor for two years and GFC as a Deminer for four years.
Mariwan holds a Diploma in Teaching from the Teaching Institute from Erbil, Iraq. He is fluent in Kurdish, Arabic and English.
