iMMAP Deploys Three IMOs to Iraq to Support the World Health Organization

iMMAP recently deployed three Senior Information Management Officers to Iraq to support the World Health Organization’s Emergency Programme to respond to the health needs of an estimated 1.8 million IDPs, a quarter of a million refugees and 1.5 million affected residents in host communities.

At the same time, iMMAP’s support is expected to help build the capacity of the health sector to readily deal with emergencies and improve health during and after crises. Through the Standby-Partnership Programme, iMMAP IMOs Glenda Claborne, Fridon Japardize, and Fidèle Diedhiou are seconded to the WHO for three months in Erbil—where iMMAP has an existing presence through the US Department of State PM/WRA Information Management Support and Victim Assistance Capacity Development Program— Dohuk, and Sulaymaniah.
