Senior IMO- Central Service lead
Desalegn is a Senior IMO-Central Service Lead based in Ethiopia. He produces humanitarian situation analysis reports and designs sector-specific or multi-sector humanitarian interactive dashboards by processing data from diverse sources provided by the client cluster or organization. He also maintains iMMAP Inc. HIST Service Desk software by managing users and administrators, updating software, and ensuring data completeness and accuracy. He supervises the IMOs and IMAs to guarantee the punctual delivery of products and services requested by HIST with top-notch quality.
Desalegn possesses more than 15 years of experience in information management, monitoring and evaluation, as well as administering and providing support for MIS systems. Before joining iMMAP Inc., Desalegn served as a MEAL Advisor with MAX Foundation and held several positions at Marie Stopes International Ethiopia, such as MIS, RM&E Manager, and Senior IM/MIS/M&E Officer. He collaborated with multiple NGOs and government offices on information management, M&E, MIS, data analysis, and visualization projects. He gained practical expertise designing data management systems and creating information management products, including infographics, maps, reports, and interactive dashboards using IM tools like QGIS, ArcGIS, AI, and Power BI. Additionally, he possesses proficiency in data analysis using statistical tools.
Desalegn earned a Master's Degree in Information Science from Addis Ababa University and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Information Technology from Haramaya University in Ethiopia. He is fluent in English and Amharic.
