Market System Analysis


Kareem Sadik is doing market system analysis at iMMAP looking at the market and economic determinants of food insecurity and economic vulnerability to inform the humanitarian operations in the region.

Karim is a health economist with experience in economic and food security analysis in the humanitarian emergency setting. He possesses advanced sets of skills in data analysis, mapping, and visualization.

Before joining iMMAP, Kareem informed WFP regional operations by delivering a wide range of economic and market analysis products. These products covered Yemen, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, Armenia, Palestine and the Kyrgyz Republic. Earlier, Kareem consulted for the WB and WHO and worked for several NGOs in Egypt.

Kareem holds a Master of science from Brandeis University in Boston with a focus on health economics, and a bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine from Cairo University.
