Mr. Aporto is currently an Information Management Officer at iMMAP in Afghanistan.

Prior to joining iMMAP, he worked at the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on Disaster Management (AHA Centre) as a Disaster Monitoring and Analysis Officer in Jakarta, Indonesia, at the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) as an Information Management and GIS Analyst in Manila and Tacloban City for 5 years, at the United Nations Resident Coordination Office - Philippines (UNRCO/UNDP) as an Information Management and GIS Analyst for Typhoon Haiyan Recovery in Tacloban City, and at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR-Central Luzon Region) as Ecosystems Management and GIS Specialist in Pampanga province, for 5 years

Besides, he has been deployed by UNOCHA as an Information Management Officer on the Tropical Cyclones Idai and Kenneth responses, in Maputo and Pemba, Mozambique, and as an Information Management Officer in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from the University of the Philippines Los Baños, and he is currently taking a Masters in Environment and Natural Resource Management, major in Coastal Resource Management, from the University of the Philippines Open University.

Mr. Aporto is a Philippines national and he can speak English and Tagalog.
