Olmedo is the manager for the WASH project with UNICEF in the Venezuelan border. He coordinates and supervises a team of territorial consultants, and he is also in charge of the financial administration and the monitoring and security situation in the project.

He has 30 years of work experience. In the sector of water, sanitation and hygiene promotion he has had positions in management and coordination, technical assistance and support, formulation and execution of programs and projects, technical design of projects, support and participation in the technical/administrative management of projects, monitoring and evaluation, diagnosis and strengthening of capacities and development of competence for development and humanitarian action programs, with a focus on risk management and reduction, water resource management, adaptation to climate change, gender perspective and social inclusion and contribution to the fulfillment of sustainable development objectives (SDO).
He has experience working with institutions from the official sector, the private sector, international cooperation agencies and organizations, and national and international NGOs.

Olmedo is a Sanitary Engineer, with specialization in Formulation, Evaluation, and Administration of Investment Projects, and holds a Master Degree in Public Health.
