Senior information Management Officer
Tigist is a senior information management Officer (IMO) based in Ethiopia. She is responsible for the development of information products for multi-sectorial projects. She also mentors the IMOs and the protection team to build capacity through guidance, training, and technical support.
Tigist has over 10 years of experience in GIS, information management, monitoring and evaluation, and knowledge management. Prior to joining iMMAP, she worked with the World Food Programme (WFP), the United Nations International Organization for Migration (IOM) as well as the Land Development and Management Bureau of Addis Ababa, and SNNPR regional government.
Tigist holds a Master´s Degree in Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation from the University of Twente, in the Netherlands, and a Master´s Degree in Urban Studies and Bachelor´s Degree in Economics from Hawassa University, Ethiopia. She is fluent in English and Amharic.
