Human rights violations among indigenous peoples in Colombia - Q2 2022

The Human Rights Observatory recorded, during the second quarter of 2022, a total of 203 victimizing events, with 422,866 indigenous people affected by actions that violate Human Rights and IHL, belonging to 29 Indigenous Peoples.
This contrasts with the data reported during the first quarter, in which a total of 173 victimizing events were reported, with 11,833 indigenous people affected, belonging to 28 Indigenous Peoples. Thus, the April-June period corresponds to the most violent quarter so far this year.

El Observatorio de Derechos Humanos registró, durante el segundo trimestre de 2022, un total de 203 hechos victimizantes, con 422.866 indígenas afectados por acciones violatorias contra los DDHH y el DIH, pertenecientes a 29 Pueblos Indígenas.
Esto contrasta con los datos reportados durante el primer trimestre, en el cual se reportaron un total de 173 hechos victimizantes, con 11.833 indígenas afectados, pertenecientes a 28 Pueblos Indígenas. Así, el período abril-junio corresponde al trimestre más violento en lo corrido del año.
