Alex Lucas is an Information Management Analyst Officer. He is the Bangladesh focal point for the COVID-19 project. Based in Cox's Bazar, he supports coordination with partners through data collection and analysis of information products.
Prior to his current position, he worked with iMMAP from 2017 to 2019 supporting the Agriculture Cluster in Ethiopia, and providing information management support to the Shelter/NFI Sector, CCCM Sector, and Food Security Sector in Nigeria.
His past work experience includes Information Management & Cash-Based Interventions Officer for the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Bangladesh, GIS Technical Consultant for Abia Geographic Information System (ABIAGIS), Spatial Layers Limited, GIS Analyst/Team Lead for Abia Geographic Information System (ABIAGIS), and GIS Site Assistant (Intern) for Abia Geographic Information System (ABIAGIS) in Nigeria.
Alex holds a Master of Science in Risk and Environmental Hazards (Merit Award) from Durham University, United Kingdom, and a BSc. Geography and Planning (Second Class, Upper Division) from Abia State University, Nigeria.
