Information Management Officer


Ernest is an information management officer (IMO) based in Cameroon. He is responsible for the provision of timely and efficient information management services including mapping and analysis activities to inform on potential gaps.

Ernest has over 17 years of working for both private and UN agencies. Prior to joining iMMAP, Ernest worked as an IMO and GIS specialist with OCHA and MONUSCO for nearly three years. Prior to that, he was a GIS expert and planning consultant with Watershed Task Group and the German Technical Cooperation for nine years. He also was a research assistant with the Pan African Institute for Development West Africa for five years.

Ernest has a Master´s Degree in Geographic Information Systems from the University of Ulster in Ireland. He further holds a Postgraduate Diploma in GIS and Remote Sensing from Arcsstee Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria and a Bachelor in Geology from the University of Buea in Cameroon. Ernest is fluent in French and English.
